Soooooo! Second day at large client done. Seems like I am a brilliant salesperson. :D Just convinced the guy in charge of all the development (who is the tech director of company who's sub-contracting us) to drop their current UI dev framework and rather go an MVC route - specifically Spring MVC, because it's damn near identical to our proprietary .NET MVC framework.

I'm quite impressed how fast my team of devs caught onto Java, coming from a C# background. It's been a day and they're just about fluent!

Glad it's going well. Did you have any luck finding the Java developers you were looking for, or are you guys just going to do it all yourselves now?

Eugene to be fair that avatar does not at all look like the marsuplami shown in the cartoons. I know because I've watched it as a kid (loved the intro song)

Sound familiar?

There are days when the obligatory sense of gratitude for having any sort of job at all is strained to the very edge of tolerance.

The thing about the 1st of April is that most of us are inclined to take any unusual news as a joke, particularly if it sounds remotely plausible.

They are basically synonyms. People Lange usage tends to wane when they become older and you somewhat make use of words that you learnt in your youth as opposed to later on in life. This is because you have always known the world and have been comfortable with it. This is simply a crude explanation of how it really works.

So there is a nude mod for DOA 5 already 24 hours after the release of the game.

Can't wait to see the april fools from myb and myg

Not the idea I had in mind.

Usually something interesting comes to mind, relevant or irrelevant; I find it amusing or interesting (as mentioned) and give my opinion on it.

Perhaps I should keep these things to myself or find better means of relaying them to others.

The site might be down for "maintenance".

I got hold of a C# / MVC specialist we used to work with a year or so ago. He agreed to join us from 1 May and help out at the big client (almost typed the name out there! ). We still need one back-end and one front-end dev though, our other projects are already taking immense strain due to the lack of attention. Unfortunately I just don't have time to help out at the office and get new resources up to speed until that other guy joins us in May. Then my full-time placement at the client will only be a twice-a-week placement.

Fun times.
