Just an update on my PC that was struck by lightning if any of you wanted to know: Outsurance replaced all the damaged stuff with excellent replacements. I'm really happy with them. Here are the replacements:
Gainward Geforce GTX580 was replaced with Asus Strix Geforce GTX980
Asus Rampage 3 Extreme Mobo was replaced with Asus Maximus Formula 7
Intel Core i7 950 (gen 2) 3.0Ghz was replaced with Intel Core i7 4790 (gen 4) 3.6Ghz
3 x 4GB 1600MHz triple channel RAM was replaced with 2 x 8GB 2400Mhz dual channel RAM
I had to replace the PSU myself because I didn't trust the old one after a lightning strike and they said that it works well enough. My audio card is also apparently ok, but we'll have to see about that. I have also replaced the hard drives myself because you have to hand in the old stuff to get new things replaced and I didn't want them to lose my data.
So overall it was an upgrade, but the amount that I had to spend to get support the upgrade almost makes it not worth it. It was a pain, but I am very happy with the service they gave and the fact that they replaced the stuff with awesome new hardware.
