Syco dont worry there are really amazing wines in Aus :p And trust me I know how expensive it is to just apply for immigration . . . When I tried in 2004 it costed me close to 40k and then I missed out on gaining entry with 5 points.

What caused you to miss it by 5 points? I'm trying to see what the max points I can get overall.

My Cape Tech National Diploma was not recognised in Aus, they prefer Uni degrees. That was the only place I lost out on, I scored high on everything else especially the fact that I have family there who owned their own business - makes sponsoring easier. But yea I stopped trying for Aus, I am hoping to try into Canada next.

I'm still a bit undecided. Want to do Aus (because most of my family and in-laws want to go there), but my heart is set on the north - so Canada is where it's at. Plus, Toronto won safest city in the world this year...

Either way, I can easily get a skilled migrant visa to either country, but I'm dead set on opening up a branch of my company in one of the countries. As soon as I have a 1 bar cash buffer in the bank, I'm moving over to find more business that side.

My bosses sister also tried to get into Aus, there was also some issue, so they've moved to New Zealand for a few years before trying Aus again. And she is a PHD in English.

Morning all been a bit quiet with all that's going on atm, stressing my ass off with this work situation :(. Otherwise what have i missed that was major besides the boks losing.........again :(

Only at the end of August but they are sitting with me tomorrow to see if they can put me in another position, my downfall is i rly only know IT and not much about mining. So i'm hoping they push me into the IT department or let me keep this post seeing as their will only be one post left here and it's only a day job which i would love cos it means no more night shifts :D
