Got to work this morning and noticed the place was almost deserted. Left at 14h45.

I left work at 14:15

No one else was there.

Any1 familiar with restoring steam backups?

Want to fire up dota 2 again but instead of the game installing from this disk like it's supposed to steam decides I should download the whole game instead.. :-(

Any help?

When did you back it up? Because steam recently had a 6.5GB update for dota 2 switching it to source 2.

You've made a backup.
You're trying to restore it but instead it downloads.

The doesn't make sense.

Delete local content, restart Steam and try again.

Is that update mandatory though? Was under the impression that you could still play the dota based on the source 1 engine..
If that's the case my 80 gig hdd won't cut it :/ (don't laugh)

Lol I've tried deleting local content and restarting steam and trying over countless times..

It's the Intel HD 2500 graphics chip that it's running off. I keep saying "onboard" when it is actually "on CPU".
