No one worth anything wants me here;) So many people here are extremely quick to jump the gun and go crazy- so this has become my 9gag alternative

Look around. You're all blind as bats. There is a graphics card upgrade query thread in another section and instead of helping the guy out you guys cry here like little girls. I don't need to get along with people and I couldnt care less about how im perceived here. If someone has a technical question, I will still answer- thats what it is all about

Your statement was: "this giveaway is useless if its intended to lure participation from new or inactive members ". I don't know how to read that incorrectly. Did you mean that if its sole purpose was to draw new members it is useless? Clearly that is not the sole purpose of the competition.

Also, this so called useless competition got you to post, so clearly it worked to lure participation. The competitions always work to get more participation, in the end though most of the new people never stay after the competition finished.

If you find the forum lacking, then perhaps create a thread wherein you suggest how to perk it up and make it better? We are very happy with the forum. People discuss things and give advice when asked; I have been on Toms Hardware aplenty and your statement is not accurate at all. I am not sure why you have this aggressive/negative stance toward the forum for no good reason I can see.
You can't say the members, because you instigated the whole thing with your original comment. So is there something else or you just like getting people worked up?

I'm just trying to understand here.

Not specifically referring to you, but if the shoe fits. It's merely an observation I've made. On forums generally when new/newish people start getting active their interactions with forum regulars are one of the below

- Troll the crap out of everyone until they cause shit
- Start sucking up to some regulars who seem to have power/influence
- Starts all friendly with everyone, then wants to establish power bubbles/influence bubbles and then just ups and leaves
- Bitches about everything

However mostly in the end they just move on to do other things because they get bored or realize that they're pathetic.

That is what my intentions were before the first reply ever was a snarky one.

The point of that statement was for the puffer fishies bobbing around here to realize the potential of the forum, but clearly my expectations were far from appropriate. The majority of members here are time killers. Replies to social buddies, pointless yapping and only a little discussion about gaming, technology, practically anything else.

The tone of this forum has been set and seems so it will remain.
 
Morning everyone, I see we have a new TK, Hagan has another new name (I didn't know we could still do that...), and there's DRAMA!
