Hi Beo, no sorry, I got as far as the login screen and then never got to it again. I registered on the website so I see no reason why it wouldn't work. Will log in tonight and let you know. If it does then I'll get you a couple of months worth of XBox Live Gold. Will at least get you some free games and the ability to play online. :) Do you need Gold for Elite at all? I don't know how that would work. I suppose you don't need it.

Elite: Dangerous works two fold. There is no offline play, you need a persistent internet connection in order to play. There is however Open and Solo play, the latter you don't need Gold for but you will not experience any other players within the world.

And it's really not necessary boet, I am not looking for any compensation whatsoever.

If you're getting a login screen then I don't think it will work.....

you don't have the game registered on your Frontier account

I know you don't want any compensation. :) But I'm gaining a huge amount with this and it would make me happy to be able to do something for you.

When I started mine up on the Xbone it asked me to A) register a free Frontier account, or B) login using an existing one.

The Frontier store and Xbox don't link together like it does with the Elite launcher. As long as you've bought and paid for the game and own it on the Xbox you can play it.

Im hating being back at work :S

Soli . . . .I made the mistake to start Alien:Isolation at 10pm last night . . . . .

And now I am sleepy since I couldnt sleep.

Not scared tho - so far its not that scary but then again I am still right at the start.

Yeah must be, because I never had to register any account before playing it on Xbone.

I also didn't find it scary but lots of people do. It's an excellent game though! Lots of atmosphere. :)

Hahaha Ek kon gisteraand nie slaap nie toe try ek dit. Die eerste ruk tot jy op die main space station kom is nie scary nie, as ook die eerste deel van die spaceship tot jy power terug sit.

Dis waar ek dit gecall het tho. Among the sleep was scarier reg van die begin af
 
Mr Beaver, that sucks about your phone dude. But yeah, it could've been worse. Still, losing a phone sucks. I've had my fair share of phones stolen as well.

its a sad state of the country where i'm more glad i wasn't hurt then being angry that my phone was stolen
