Are you sick or just overworked? If overworked and stressed out then hey, go back to gaming! Also wouldn't it be better to stick to one technology stack and rather become perfect in that? Just asking of course. I don't want you to make things difficult for your future self, no matter how much fun it is to use new and exciting different technologies.
Well, sick is a relative term... ;) Let's just settle on overworked for now.

Regarding my choice for node.js: I've been a huge JavaScript fanatic for at least 10 years now and I try to do as much in and with it as I can. If I can settle on building a full server and client architecture with it, I am in essence sticking with one technology stack to do everything with. Besides, Google "programming trends for 2016" and you'll be surprised how many articles state that JavaScript will be on the rise from this year going forth. There's a reason big tech companies like Netflix, LinkedIn, PayPal and Uber are resorting to node.js for their server stack. ;)

Rest up well, dude. Sometimes the doctors aren't completely wrong about what's best for us..
Yeah, 2 doctors told me to take a bit of a break. It's really difficult to NOT help my team during that time, but I'm trying to take time off.

Morning people of the TK
FarligOpptreden - you need to relax a little as well so that you get better, but dont sit and twiddle your thumbs. Otherwise you will go nuts. When are you guys allowed to move back in?
Well, we were supposed to move back tomorrow, but I just got a call from the electricians that their stock will only arrive from their supplier after lunch today. So that meant I had to cancel the flooring contractors who had to install new laminate floors today. We're really pushing it now, as we'll have to move back into the house minutes after the flooring contractors are done with their work.

Cool, I just don't want you to make your life more difficult. I agree that Javascript is a language on the rise. That's why I told Donisia to look into it. :) You get better, okay? Relax and watch a couple of seasons of a good show. :)

Nah, learning new tech never makes my life more difficult. I've been doing the Microsoft stack now for 11 years, so I believe I've gained at least some form of mastery in it. Java was just more of the same and I apparently "out-coded" our primary client to such a degree that they asked me to "dumb it down" considerably and stop building code that is so reusable using high levels of abstraction, because they can't understand what I'm writing. Thing is, I love my software patterns and use generics, interfaces, base classes, polymorphism and reflection in just about anything I build. Seems like some people just can't grasp those concepts all that well and prefer the copy-paste style of coding, which is completely against everything I stand for.

I've been trying to get my game on, but somehow I just can't get into anything for too long. The Witcher 3 has been the game that's kept my attention for the longest recently, which is about 2-3 hours at a time. I then have to take a break because it just exhausts me.

Whew, it's just one of those mornings. Our internet isn't working properly. Our cloud servers are having problems.

And yesterday when I stopped by the supermarket to buy bread and other groceries my pants ripped as I climbed out of the car. So I climbed back in and drove home. So I don't have any lunch here. Eish.

halloooos man what a busy day

i have been on the phone the whole morning trying to find a psychologist who does forensic legal reports in divorce matters... flip there are like a billion of them but they either dont practice any more or dont do this type of work....

Wowee but it's quiet in here.

I wonder if MyGaming is mostly older folk who are all so busy with work that we just can't post as much as we want to. Or you are all lazy. Sies all you lazy people. I don't get much time to post but I want to pop in now and then and read what all of you are up to.

I guess we are all just busy. It's the sucky thing about being an adult and having to work and all that.

6 minutes to go!
