No, no - being at work on a cold day is a crappy day to be at work. Who wouldn't rather be at home with hot cocoa - gaming!

Well isn't every day a pretty crappy day to be at work?

Also, I prefer working in the cold. that way I sweat less.

Either you're very stressed at work or you do physical activities at work - depending on what it is you do.

So uh... this is interesting.

I made an inquiry by driving school about appointments, times and prices. After some e-mails not disclosing whether or not I'm actually going to make use of the service I get an e-mail with an invoice containing a pre-set up lessons for 10 courses costing me R1750.

Just wow! Sent a response e-mail stating my issue with this (it was without my consent) and got a response e-mail stating it had been cancelled. Bad move - I will definitely try another business, no one as presumptuous this time, I hope.

Very busy today. Come and glance here at MyGaming every now and then and want to comment on stuff but just don't have the time.

As far as I know you have to take 10 lessons by law to be able to go get your drivers. So they sent you a quote/invoice - so that you can see what it will cost. Don't complain. When I did my drivers over 10 years ago, it costed me R1000 for my lessons - so taking inflation and what not into account that isnt so high at all. Plus the companies help you get a booking, otherwise you wait up to 6 months for a decent slot.

ja this is true although when i did my drivers license back in 2005 i had 1 lesson with the driving school and then next week had my appointment to do my license test and it cost me R75 for the lesson and R75 on the day to use the driving school's car for my test.

I was not aware of this. I never have made booking through such a service, so my knowledge of how it works is limited to none.
I wanted to see if you all would respond and you did.

It will then be something I will have to save up for; did not expect the price to be that high.

So, SARS is being nice to me and wants to pay me back enough money for a full on gaming PC. Sadly, that has to go straight back to the bank to start paying off one of our credit cards.

At least it's a slight sigh of relief. :)

ooh i need to do my tax still but im thinking of waiting a bit so i can use the money i get back on my study fees

Dammit, just what I needed. Stupid bloody tenant in my place clogged the drains and flooded the place. Now I have to pay for a bloody plumber and I need to lodge a claim with my insurance to replace cupboards, skirting, carpets and god knows what else.

eeck, that sucks. cant you deduct this off their deposit they paid?

I also submitted my SARS paperwork today, Im getting enough back to pay for my studies this semester! So happy about that. Just now to decide what to take.
Business Management IIB
Administrative Management IIB
Financial Accounting for Companies - FAC2601
Human Resource Provisioning
Human Resource Maintenance and Retention
Performance Management Practices
Principles of Management Accounting - MAC2601

I need to choose 2 of those and I cannot make up my mind, I am considering Admin Man and one more either BSM or MAC or FAC - but I dont really want to do another maths related subject.

An hour remains.

I have been tasked with double-checking through a heap of stacks of paper (documents) to find corresponding amounts. Once I have found these amounts I am then to then extract them from the stack and look for another. Have not found a single corresponding invoice. 11 amounts, not one invoice. :/
