I worked so well today I wonder if I can just take the rest of the day off. It's not going to happen but it feels like it should.

That one and the Catholic hospital thread... people seem to have lost the ability to argue and debate issues. Within 5 posts it turns into a flamefest to see who can post the worst insults. Sad. It's also why I no longer really participate in some threads, even though I would enjoy it.

I've straight up not posted there in months. Don't like the unwelcoming atmosphere.

we try to corral them into PD (philosophical debates) and keep them out of harm's way, but recent news events are bringing religion to the fore and that's the spark to the powder keg!

You need to ignore certain sub-sections... set up your front page search to exclude them. :D

I would read the title over a thread and think: "I'd like to add my opinion here as well." Then I read other comments are get a bitter-sour taste in my mouth. Attacks on religion over there is too frequent.

Hehehe I get enough of that at home considering I have a family member who is a conspiracy theory nut and who drives me insane with their believes (the funny thing is as much as this person is a conspiracy theory nut they are also a religious nut. . . .)
