Morning everyone. So i got my net working last night and had a whole 2 hours of i ternet joy and the all went to hell the line stopped syncing and then the exchange port died and now i hear my order with telkom hasn't been closed cos of outstanding balances on the previous owners name. Nice telkom.

I listened to a Stephen Hawking audiobook once. I listen to A Brief History Of time. After I reached chapter 4 I was physically tired from trying to concentrate and keep up with the book. I later read the book on my own time, and had a much better time with it. I think I did the whole audiobook thing wrong, but that did mess up my opinion of them. I just find myself ADHD the crap out and I start to loose track of what's going on in the book.

I tried to listen to audiobooks before and couldn't really concentrate on them. Have tried now again and it works surprisingly well. I'm listening to "The One Thing" which is a self help kind of book by Gary Keller and even though I'm programming I find myself listening and actually absorbing the information.

I know of people who listen to audiobooks while driving and I'm thinking of trying that out too. Maybe get a fiction book to listen to.

Awesome! When do you generally listen to them? Do you find it easy to keep your concentration while listening?

I used to listen to it while I worked, but I've moved to a more difficult role so unfortunately not at work anymore. Generally listen to it when I walk the dogs on the beach/field or at the end of my day at work when it calms down.

Had a couple audiobooks, quite enjoyed them. Don't know if I could do something like a Hawking whatever or a self help type of thing but that's just me and my concentration span. Still, nothing beats buying a brand new book from your fave author and racing through it ;)
