How To Tell The Difference Between Metal Genres
* POWER METAL
The protagonist arrives riding a white unicorn, escapes from the dragon, saves the princess and makes love to her in an enchanted forest.
* THRASH METAL
The protagonist arrives, fights the dragon, saves the princess and f*cks her.
* HEAVY METAL
The protagonist arrives on a Harley, kills the dragon, drinks a few beers and f*cks the princess.
* FOLK METAL
The protagonist arrives with some friends playing accordions, violins, flutes and many more weird instruments, the dragon falls asleep (because of all the dancing). Then all leave........ without the princess.
* VIKING METAL
The protagonist arrives in a ship, kills the dragon with his mighty axe, skins the dragon and eats it, rapes the princess to death, steals her belongings and burns the castle before leaving.

Old post is old, but still funny. Seeing as Power-Prog is my favourite genre, my protagonist will probably be playing his epic solo whilst making sweet love to the princess in front of the Heavy Metal guys who's riding a unicorn out of boredom... Or something.

So my long weekend has kicked off. 5 days of rest, relaxtation, introspection and gaming!!! Woohoo!!!
Oh, wait. No. Tomorrow I drive 550km to my parents in the Lowveld with my wife, whilst a 9 yo and 22yo shares the backseat. And as if Nelspruit isn't hot enough, I'll moving over to Baberton on the 26th, returning home on the 28th. On the 29th I'll be back at work, trying to keep a straight face as everybody asks me if I've had a nice rest.
But I have a plan...

I had such a busy day. This morning it was shopping and getting enough meat to braai to last us for a long while and had to take my wifey to the physio and then we had people over this afternoon with their two little kids. I don't know how you people with kids do it! Wowie. So they finally left and tomorrow there's family over and since my wife can't walk yet I will have to braai and take care of all the food and drinks and whatnot. Not that anyone cares but ha it feels good writing about it.

I've got a rushed weekend ahead of me. Flying down to Cape Town tomorrow morning at 08:40, then rush through to Langebaan for a family lunch, then spend 2 days at my parents in Darling and then fly back on Monday morning at 08:10 so I can be at work before lunch.
