Does anyone know where I may be able to shop some gaming peripherals from a brick'n mortar store?

I am looking to get a H.O.T.A.S, but the best place I can find is either Raru or Takealot. Are there any other online retailers for this?

sheesh.... the amount of mistakes my fingers are making now is shocking. And my workflow has slowed down dramatically.

Morning all

Only working till 12:00 today, which is nice. Unfortunately my wife is working the whole long weekend, so I'll just be home with the little one. Hopefully he wants to sleep a lot this weekend so I can get some game time, because when he is awake he doesn't want to play alone, you have to play with or sit there with him.

He is saying "pappa" and "aitsa" a lot now, but unfortunately and to my wife's dismay he isn't saying "mamma". "Aitsa" is being said a lot because whenever he does something right or new, he hears it. :D

That's awesome dude, some quality time is great. Trust me, it might seem tough now but in the long run you gonna be happy. And tell the Mrs not to get too bummed, it happens like that alot.

Enjoy the time together.

Thanks Beo

From January it is going to get a little bit more difficult. My wife hasn't been working night shift for the first year after the little one's birth. Somewhere in January though she is going to start working night shift again (not always night shift, but about half of them will be night).

So I will be alone at home during those nights and that is going to break me, because he is still not sleeping through the night and sometimes when he wakes up in the night, I can't get him calmed down and drinking, only my wife can. So that is going to be interesting. I'll probably be a zombie at work during those days.

How old is he now?

You can also do it bud, just be patient. DO NOT get flustered and frustrated, I know it's tough but they sense those kinda things.

He will be turning 1 year old on 9 January.

Yeah I know, it is just difficult sometimes. Especially when I'm tired and had a hard day at work, but I'm working on the frustration part and it has gotten a lot better.

Don't sweat it, my 18 month old is all about "Daddy" and refuses to say "Mommy" or "Mom"...apart from that he says bottle, gog (dog), cat-cat (for cats), gone and will damn well point at and let you know what he wants.

What you can try for the sleeping is a bit of sleep training. We're trying Jo "supernanny" Frost's techniques and it seems to work relatively well.

Can you perhaps link to those techniques?

We did CTCT when he was in his cot, now that he is in his own toddler bed we had to switch to a technique that is basically routine :

- Eat
- Bath
- Get dressed
- Have bottle, while reading a bed time story
- Switch off light after story is done (let them finish the bottle in the dark if needs be)
- Stop engaging (or even looking at him, but be present in the room)
- Wait until they pass out (the little terror passes out in about 15min)

If they get out of bed, put them back in bed without even talking to them. Repeat until they get the idea. So far it seems to work.
