Do you remember how long after it hurt for? I'm on day 4/5 and it still hurts quite alot, but my pain meds finish today and antibiotics finish tomorrow...
 
P.S. anybody know why my profile pic and avatar aren't showing up yet? I uploaded them yesterday morning, but still nothing.

Sorry Donsie but I can't remember. I do hope the pain goes away and that you feel much better! You are welcome to come get some of my pain medication. It's the generic version of Myprodol. Got it for my sickness but not actually using it.

Oi, I know you are busy but you never answered me yesterday. The whole going overseas thing. Is it something you are going for or something you are being pushed into?

Well, our company is rapidly expanding internationally. Looking at their strategy and plans for the future, it looks like a plan for total world domination. So far we are in 22 countries world-wide, with many more countries to be added in the future. There are quite a few opportunities that will arise from this expansion, and my name is being named for international assignment. Almost every second week I get asked by higher ups about my appetite for international assignment. So I just have to wait and see what comes my way, but I will not say no for any opportunity to go oversees.

Hehe no worries. I'm glad that you are getting the opportunities though. Especially with the way things are going here in sunny Africa at times.

Just go get some Genpayne, mine came and went for about 5 or6 days, what kind of pain is it? Trust me if it was dry socket, you would know. But if its still killing you pain tomorrow go to your dentist - let them check for you.

A lot of my pain was jaw pain and muscle pain, I had to use a muscle relaxant to keep my pain level down.

Yeah well will have to wait and see what comes my way. At least I'm in the running for those. But it's only for 2 to 3 years, it's not permanent immigration. I'm also not sure if I'll ever consider immigrating to a different country, though these days it's difficult to keep up that viewpoint

It's pain in the teeth around the wisdom's as well as upper jaw... and on top of that my sinuses are playing up

yea that sounds more like the left over pain from them fiddling in your mouth. Go get Genpayne - its cheap and works REALLY well. Also use hot compresses on your jaws. I found the heat helped a lot to reduce pain, cos you dont realise it but you are actually clenshing your jaw a little and that makes the pain worse

I still can't close my mouth cuz of the gums being swollen

Yep that is normal, I would get the genpayne and hot compress today - if tomorrow the swelling hasnt started to come down a bit and the pain is still high, go see your dentist - they shouldnt even charge you for the follow up visit.

I'm supposed to go in friday for a check up. The swelling is coming down slowly... im getting ibuprofen

Get the Genpyne, my Maxillo-Facial & Oral Surgeon reccomends it as one of the best for taking after extractions

Gen Payne contains the active ingredients Ibuprofen, Paracetamol and Codeine, which is a narcotic pain reliever.
