Afternoon all
What a kak day. I'm suppose to go home at 12 on a Friday, but that isn't happening today. I'll probably only go home at 15:00, earliest.
Then tomorrow I am at work and again on Sunday; who needs a weekend? I'm also on standby, so with my current luck I'll probably get called out as well sometime.
To top it off, my wife is working this weekend as well, so we have to get people to look after our son for most of the weekend.
Fan-fucking-tastic.

Good afternoon everyone. I'm so glad it's Friday. I need a break after this week. Been super hectic. I'm currently working between two offices, and the offices in Cape Town has a very weird proxy. It blocks any page with swear words on it. So I can't access this page of TK as an example, as it contains the work "fucking". Weird, but at least the Internet is super fast.

Well that's just fucking nice. Keyword filtering is bloody crap 90% of the time as it can and will block useful sites most of the time.

Hi everyone! So, fairly new client is ecstatic about the work we're delivering. If all goes according to plan, I can kick off long term a project there to rewrite their entire system's UI and restructure it using SOA principles. Then I just need to help them get an ESB running with message queues for async processing and they'll have the best solution in their industry. They are quite prevelant already, with some of the biggest financial institutions already using their software...
It's been a rough couple of weeks though. Just hope I can afford to take some leave later this year. Now going on 20 months without any holiday time.

24 September? Is it a holiday? Hmmm... Will have to work through it though, have a deadline for the end of the month. Then I'm off to stand in for one of my devs at a client while he goes on holiday down under...
