That sounds like a few of my clients with no testing environments. "but can't you just do it straight on live" sure if you dont mind running the risk that the change could maybe, possibly, bring your site down.

Nice one for getting it sorted, sounds like a tiring ordeal.

Thanks mate. Yeah it was different to the stuff I normally do so I'm glad it's over now.

Solitude, I see you a slaving through ACIII. It was the one that ruined the series for me. You checked out the No Man's Sky thread recently?

Yeah it's definitely the worst Assassin's Creed I've played so far. I own 4 and Unity though so I'll get through this one. :) Apparently 4 Black Flag is amazing.

I haven't checked out the No Man's Sky thread in a while. Will do so tonight. :)

There is a 24 minutes IGN first video that is amazing. I also posted a link to an article of someone who got 2 hours with it and a video i found online some time ago. Well worth a watch.

Black Flag was a good one. AC3 wasn't great, especially the beginning. I've only played AC1, AC:Brotherhood, AC3 and Black Flag, so I've missed quite a few, but Black Flag was the best of the ones I've played.

I personally prefer AC1, 2 and Brotherhood. The Altair/Etzo arch made alot of sense and tied together really well. The way they hamfisted AC3's Conor into the story with Desmond still somehow related to all of them just didn't work. That you dont play desmond again in Black Flag is I think one of its great saving graces.

Ugh I hated the modern day portions of those games

The implication being that not all the modern day portions where made of WTF with a side of Batshit Crazy?

Well there was than one - which took place in the town where your assassin stronghold was and it had barely changed - except the obvious inclusion of cars and street lamps.
That one made sense

I never did play AC2, and it was a long time between playing 1 and BH so I probably missed a lot of the overall story arch, but BH was a major improvement on 1 and also a really good one in the series. You could see them testing the waters (so to speak) in AC3 with the navel missions, and they improved on that again in Black Flag. I quite liked sailing around blasting ships and forts with mortars and cannons.

Yeah i guess that one is the exception, though the cynic in me want to go "they were just to damn lazy so reused the same map."

If you missed Revelations you're lucky to have missed their ridonculous tower defense nonsense

Again this might be me being overly cynical but Ubisoft have a tendency to build games around features. Oh look everybody loved sailing in AC3 lets make AC4 (BF) all about sailing. 2 Was a major leap from 1. BH improved upon 2 but not the the same extent as the jump between 1 and 2 was. While 3 offered alot more in terms of features it was lacking in pretty much every other aspect.

Best Assassin's Creed game is still Hitman Bloodmoney. At least there you feel like a assassin rather than some political pawn for that time period.
