Hi all

Another busy day. I left work an hour later than usual because my manager came into my office at the last minute and wanted something done before tomorrow. I hate it when they do that.

Now to relax for the rest of the evening

It's the worst when bosses want something right before home time. :( May you relax nicely this evening!

I don't think I've got the energy for Dark Souls tonight. Will have to see.

Why is it so difficult to find a decent USB to 9-pin serial adapter that has Windows 7+ 64-bit drivers?

Not sure if this is what you need, but our engineers use these. Works great, they even use it on a VMWare XP guest on VMWare from a Win 7 host on older machines.

Economy is screwed. Rand is screwed. Invest all available funds in tinned food and ammunition.
You can now skip tomorrows classes. Thank me later.

Well, no, not exactly. Yes, we did stare down the barrel of junk status, and yes, Moody's do still have us at a provisional rating, but a few days ago governmental bonds went into the international market for sale to fund governmental deficits, and sales were set at 250%, meaning that there is still a very healthy appetite in the world for SA investment. But, on the other hand, even though according to the text book we may not be in a recession, our economy performance is acting like it's a recession. What that general feel is from economists is that now, 2016, is the worst year SA has ever has economically since 1994, and that all market indicators are pointed upwards for 2017 and 2018. It's predicted that we will see even 2% GDP growth by 2018...

The curse of tertiary education. Don't worry, it's not permanent.
Indeed. Wait until someone ever mentions anything remotely similar to business models in the gaming world, and watch me bore the whole site to death. Will do the student thing this weekend and drink myself into a stupor and get back to normal

 Don't talk about drink. I have cholesterol and Mrs 44 now makes me drink Castle Light. I don't really like Castle Light. And I'm not even convinced it will help with the cholesterol but it was that or Windhoek Light.

What's wrong with Windhoek? I love Windhoek light. Also I'm sure whiskey is also better for cholesterol.

Windhoek Light is so light, they may as well rename it to "Dubbel Windhoek en Water".

Fair enough. But it gets the job done. Maybe not as effective as Zamalek does, but my good named has been sullied more than once on "dubbel Windhowk en water". Also that's an awesome way of saying it. In fact, I am going to use it myself to generate a chuckle or two next time I'm at the bar, which my MyGaming location shows as the place I'm always at.

When you've typed out a WALL of text, click on Post, page gets stuck, backtrack... All lost!

It's at that point you contemplate in which direction your device will be flung...

Morning peoples!
Hagan, when I have internet problems I copy the wall of text before pasting, then if it doesn't post I can just paste it again. It's something I had to do a lot when I was still with Telkom.

Hmmm I just don't know how easy it is to copy a wall of text on your device.

Haha, I do the same thing. Probably because the work internet tends to block a page randomly, and then you're shit out of luck. Fun times.
