I hope you guys had some good gaming time. And Blazzok it sucks that you worked today. :( I hope Eskom finally played along.

I was trying to make a modular fence slightly fancy. So I did a little sculpt and the file came out at 45mb.

Telkom screwed me over.

Little over 2 weeks ago I inquired about and order an ADSL conversion for my existing line. Well... Somewhere there was a miscommunication and I was asked on the day of installation (Tuesday) where I had requested a new line and for it to be converted instead, without thinking ahead (this being really early in the morning, I told the tech 'No'.

The order was cancelled and I have had to reorder.
With some luck and hope, I'll have it in a week or 2 as I have asked for the order the to escalated.

Should have had ADSL by now! Frustrating!

Morning everyone. Work is a ghost town with lots of people that took today off. I like it, gives me peace and quiet to finish up my mountain of work

I'm doing some work at home today. At least this whole morning and then this afternoon I can game a bit.

Was tempted to work from home as well. Nobody at the office means that nobody would miss me. But the work has better internet than I have, plus I can download stuff without fear of messing up my cap. So here I am...

Mind you, I'm working on my own project. So it's not work work.

Morning everyone.

Wife's at work, I'm at home, so I've got to get groceries, and then game all day and then fix supper. Not a bad deal, if you ask me.
czc: What program is that? Solidedge?

That pic I posted yesterday? Thats Blender. At work I use Inventor. Never used Solidedge.

Nice. I want to look in to Blender some time this weekend. It looks like there's no simple way to get parametric modelling into Unity :(

I also want to look at Autodesk 123, it's free for home and individual use, and even for some instances of startup use, so I want to get used to it for when I don't have access to my fancy Solidworks license.

Right, I can see why you create low poly models for games. A few of my fence pieces and you can feel the lag.

Was there ever any doubt?

I used to build the meshes I needed in UnrealEd using the primitives they supplied and then textured the hell out of them. Fun times...
