Just use 10 so much faster than 8.1. but it does not give you as much control that 7 gave us.

Was going to download Windows 10, but first want to get used to 8. Use it for around 6 months, and then on I can determine if I'm satisfied; want to revert back to 7 or use 10.

Get Classic Shell. It makes the Windows 8 "start" button work like the start button you're used to. It made me happy to use Win 8.1
