Threadkiller Mk XIII

Morning everyone. We moved offices today, and, well, the view is even more spectacular here than the previous building. Full view of the whole Sydney skyline. Plus there is proper, and I mean proper, coffee machine. One that we had to get training on by a barista on how to use it.

Oh noes! [MENTION=289]Jan[/MENTION], this person posted so much spam that I don't have the ability to delete all the posts as spam or ban the user. You will have to do it through the admin panel!

Thanks Soli. I'll be honest, I just startr posing when it started. It completely demotivated me from trying to post anything further. Luckily for you guys it happened while you all slept.

It's a shame that it didn't happen while we were awake because then we could have caught it in time.

And I can believe that you were demotivated from posting. There were 50 something spam posts!

Thanks, Soli. You actually did manage to ban it.

Looking at ways to stop this from happening. I've actually turned on new user notifications, but this idiot registered at 01:30 this morning when I was sound asleep.

I may actually end up turning on moderation for new registrations to stem the tide.

It's so frustrating that they only seem to be targeting MyGaming. I wonder why they're steering clear of MyBroadband?

Or something like new users with less than ?20 posts?/account age less than 1month can only create one thread an hour or something similar, along with moderated posts for new users until they have a certain number.

As per Blazzok, can't you prevent new user from creating new threads for x posts? Hopefully they don't take to posting in existing threads then.

Are there one of those 'are you human' checks for new signups?

I went and checked. All they could help me with was to get a lost loved one back (he could not verify if lost meant dead, or lost in a mall), and to enlarge my package. For some reason he said I can't be helped to enlarge it anymore. I also let him know about the package problem that [MENTION=20]Solitude[/MENTION] is having, with it being delayed and all. Also can't help sorry man.
