Titanfall cancelled or delayed in SA.

I am glad I did not pre-order this. Seems the users that pre-ordered on Origins was greeted with this charmer today.

Update from EA:

After conducting recent online tests for Titanfall, we found that the performance rates in South Africa were not as high as we need to guarantee a great experience, so we have decided not to release Titanfall in South Africa at this time.

We understand this is a disappointment for local fans and will keep fans posted on any future plans regarding the release of Titanfall in South Africa

They are blaming whatever they can it seems. Delayed until further noticed. Which means - Cancelled until they say otherwise. Could be a short delay, it all depends on how many SA gamers thtow fits about this and if they direct it at the correct people.

I know that the main reason for this is ofcourse no local server support.

To be honest, there are PC guys and gals who pre-ordered knowing that they would be playing at 200+ ping but they still wanted the game.

So seeing as the gaming industry will be pushing much more for multiplayer games like this, is this an indication of what will happen if we don't get dedicated servers in SA, because I'm pretty sure that fact is a major factor why the game has been cancelled/delayed. And that due to the lack of Windows Azure servers...this does not bode well for the Xbox Ons launch later on as well...
