Tony Hawk and Activision ride together again

Activision has confirmed the company is once again collaborating with pro skater Tony Hawk on a new video game.

"Activision can confirm that they have something in the works with Tony Hawk, more info is coming soon," a statement provided to IGN reads. Hawk first revealed the collaboration during a segment on SiriusXM's Demolition Radio show (via IGN), stating, "We're working on a game, we are working on a game, it's pretty cool." No further information about the project was provided.

The last game to bear the Hawk moniker, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD, was developed by Chicago studio Robomodo as a collection of fan-favorite levels from the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater series. That same studio also produced the faux-skateboard driven Tony Hawk: Ride in 2009 and its direct follow-up, Tony Hawk: Shred, in 2010.

I used to love skateboarding games then they all got a bit silly if they can bring back that old school feel im ken for this !
 
If the take Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2, and make it pretty, it will be a WIN!!! :D

I played that game to death... I was awesome... All the recent TH Games have sucked imo...

used to play that on my P2 300mhz PC back in the day, enjoyed it more than any other.

But a new skating game would be cool.
Just wish they bring out a new kelly slaters pro surfer or similar
 
I just hope that is more similar to the older titles than the newer ones. More Pro Skater 4 and muuuch less American Wasteland
 
Started playing Tony Hawk on PS1, then PS2, suck so many hours into it, A proper next gen reboot would be awesome

+1 for soundtrack, forgot about that.

Some of those tracks made me fans of the bands that played, all oldskool stuff. Must actually get that tracklist again from the first two tony hawk's games
 
Skate on the XBOX was superior in every way. The tricks were hard to master, but rewarding once you landed them. The soundtrack was incredible and the huge open world made it fun to just cruise along and find new spots.

'Tis a cryin' shame that it never made it to PC...

+1. Adore the Skate franchise. Skate 2 was probably my favourite.

TH was rad, but mastering a complex flip to grind or manny in Skate brought with it an amazing feeling of accomplishment.

Use to play the second hawk game back in the day I remember how much fun it was just trying to do the tricks and getting your points up. Was a great game to play with friends.

Was that the one with the level where you could grind on a helicopter's blades?
