Tony Hawk Pro Skater takes early games to HD

I never played 1, however I did play 2 -4 and loved them all. Will certainly give this a look when it is released. I do hope it will include some the levels from the later games as well though, Alcatraz from THPS4 was awesome.
 
Haha, that was a poor attempt to try and made a Tony Hawk game... :)

I like the controls of Skate, because it's interesting but I am not very consistent with them. The Tony Hawk, Mat Hofman games all had the same basic control idea which mean you could easily own in MH if you knew TH.
 
THPS and Skate are two completely different takes on the same genre and can't really be compared.

Thank goodness Tony has realised this and opted to stick to what made his games awesome in the first place instead of going for the whole uber-realism vibe.
 
I'm really looking forward to this. Tony Hawk 1-3 were some of my favorite games back in the day. If they can capture the spirit of those titles with some nicely redone graphics then I'm all for it. :)
 
the roswell stage from thps 1 was orsome and the bonus skaters like the fat cop was extremely funny

I think I may just get this... THPS2 was the reason I got my own Playstation after playing this at a friend for ages!
 
Oh hells yes! Downhill and the mall was best stages imho, and also the bull ring when u had to skate over the poo to get cash xD

Hell Yeah! Rage Against The Machine, Mellincolin, Lagwagon, Anthrax, Powerman 5000, Bad Religion, Papa Roach and the Swingin' Utters. One of the best soundtracks in gaming history.
 
Shoh as an avid skateboarder - The first 3 THPS games were like digital GOLD!
I miss them - Definately something I'd buy if they follow through with HD remakes :D :D :D

I remember this trying to get as much air as possible to do some interestingly insane tricks you knew no real skater could ever pull off that was fun... After two the series just went down hill... Think thats about when i stopped.
