Top 7 Games you either hated or loved

GamesRadar has popped off one of their "Top x" articles and this time I actually agree with quite a bit of it. The list includes Assassin's creed, GH: Rock Band, Pokemon and Halo (My god how I hated that game Single Player).

Check it out: GamesRadar: Top 7 games you love or hate.

What do you hate or love? For me it's always been Myst. I hate the hell out it. Really.

edit: GamesRadar has an unfortunate habit of using popups. Deploy blockers to starboard!

Totally agree with Assassin's Creed. Nothing more than a repetitive tech demo.

Guitar Hero is also a good one to debate. Personally I can't be bothered with the watered-down mechanics and the plasticky guitar, but maybe therein lies the appeal: it's simple enough for even non-gamers to easily get into.

LOL @ Myst though. I remember wondering what the hell people ever saw in that POS :D

Being a m03rse Half-Life Fan, I "hated" Half-life 2. I really never knew what ppl saw in it. Episode 1 was a tad bit better but Eppy 2 was just plain AWESOME!

I am currently replaying Half-life 2 since I got my Orange Box during the weekend. Still don't see what anybody saw in it.

The first bits were awesome, in City 17, but Ravenholm, the caves and tunnels, those levels really killed the game for me. Also the waterbike thing, and all the driving. BLEH.

Assasin's Creed: Hate(was really boring)
Guitar Hero: Never played
Killzone: Its on PS3
Dead Rising: Its on Xbox 360
Pokemon: I love it, but won't say I'll play it over and over though
Space Giraffe: WTF?
Halo: Played only the first one a bit(PC of course), was OK.

Diablo 2 [Loved]
FEAR 2 [Loved]
Warcraft 3 [Loved]
COD 2 + 4 [Loved]
CSS [Loved]
Halo 3 [Loved]
Gears of War [Loved]

I enjoyed Assassin's creed at first, I hated the whole modern DNA dream retrieval or whatever you call it aspect of it right from the start. I just wanted to get to the ninja assassin dude. Once I started that I got over it pretty soon to. Everything became super repetitive and the marathon cut scenes at every assassination became a snore fest.

I have not played any of the other games on the list, so I'll go with the fact that I probably won't like any of them, except for maybe Halo or Killzone.

You know, thinking about it - I really, really hated Halo. The multiplayer was absolutely fantastic - loved the hell out of it.

But the single player? Eish.

Run down this corridor. Then run back. Then run down this identical corridor and run back again. Go back to first corridor, run back.

AARGH

I loved Day of The Tentacle and HATED... wait... i don't play games I don't like.... so no, I don't hate anything

DOTT ftw! Come to think of it, I loved almost every one of those quest/adventure games. I think I must have played every one of the Police Quest/Space Quest/Monkey Island/Larry's/etc. etc. games when I was a young 'un.

Man I loved those games! DOTT was a great game as were all the {insert word} Quest games.

They just don't make 'em like that anymore.

It's all "Go collect 14 rabbit tails" and so on.

The most awesome and most useless in-game-sidekick has to be Murray the Skull from the Monkey Islandâ„¢ series.

A little venting of the spleen:

Final Fantasy X may be one of the highest-rated games I disliked. I blame the random encounter system for that.

For God of War, I realised within minutes of starting the game that it was intended for nimbler fingers than my own.

So far as some of the more recent Command and Conquer games are concerned, I find the cut scenes more entertaining than the game itself. It....er.....just lacks that something which has attracted me to Dawn of War.

I haven't enjoyed a Need for Speed game since the release of Need for Speed II SE.
I'll take the McLaren F1 thank you.

Titan Quest.Pretty, but that's about it.The CRPG equivalent of a bimbo.I went back to Dungeon Siege after giving up on this until I lost interest in that too. I am like that with action-rpgs. I daresay that I might have something uncomplementary to say about Diablo some day.
/Ducks inbound fireballs.
