I bet this was before the whole Seacom debacle in the last 2 weeks of March - MWeb had some very unhappy campers since that outage
 
I find plugg the best still. I have been with mweb afrihost openweb and didn't enjoy any of them.
 
I'm currently with Afrihost, pretty happy with them. Get free gigs every once and while which is a nice bonus. Other than that had very little problems, a couple periods of slow speeds, nothing serious.

ah ha! someone who can give a comparitive view - what did you not like about openweb? I am with plugg at the moment but the openweb special for 4 meg @ 369 is mighty tempting.....and I've been picking up a fair amount of yellow/red lag in D3 recently.
 
With afrihost I got shaped so badly that for the last weeks of me being there I may as well have had dial up (no over exaggeration) openweb is very cheap and although I can't say anything about their gold accounts shaping is just wonderful once again on vanilla accounts.

Also with afrihost and openweb my gaming pings were pretty high and constant disconnections in diablo 3.

Plugg I haven't had one issue besides seacom cable but that wasn't their fault. :)

Edit: a few of my friends had the same issue with an added issue with openweb of slow browsing.
