Torchlight II Thread

Yeah, Omega and I both created games, even after filtering to friends only I couldn't find his game. Also, after logging in again, he was off my friends list altogether. Import friends didn't work on my side either. Will check it out again tonight, maybe we missed something.

At least we could carry on playing single player.

There are still some issues importing friends from Steam. I suggest you host a game and add a password, and then just let your friend search for the name and type in pass.

No drop in, drop out capability. Import steam friends feature didn't work for me, manual friend adding was hit and miss. I created a game and murph was unable to find it even though he filtered by friend only.

A just checked their tweets seems they had problems with that.

What do you mean no drop in drop out? You can join a game whenever you want and leave whenever you want, isn't that drop in drop out? Even if the 'host' disconnects you can still keep playing.

The friend's thing is still a bit dodgy but just search for game name for the moment until that gets sorted.

Hypothetical Situation: I get home boot up the game to blow off some steam for a few hours, not expecting to play with friends I start an single player. 20 minutes in my good friend Murph comes online and wants to join me, only he can't because its an "single player" game. So I have to quit my game, host a multiplayer game and then only can he play with me.

That is what I mean by Drop in/Drop Out. What I would expect is I see my good friend Murph is online, i click his user name, say join game and bob's your uncle, fanny's you aunt and Im in his game.

Look its not the end world, Raptr says I've spent 10 hours in the game already, Im level 24 and Im enjoying it, alot. My cretinism is constructive.

Having bought the Humble Bundle 6 I got a second copy of Torchlight 1 (I bought on a steam sale some time ago) so I installed it on my wife's laptop and she is looting away.

So next time when you get home to blow off some steam start a Internet game over the Internet and your friends can pop in any time? Is that so hard?

I see what you mean. That's why I normally just 'on-line' even if I'm playing by myself just in case.

Really enjoying this, the bit I've managed to play so far, and the randomisation works really well keeping the game interesting. I played a bit solo and then started a new character to jam coop with a friend and it was interesting to see what was different the 2nd time round.

Our LAN was a great success even though we were hamstringed in the beginning by a late patch from Runic. We had two groups playing, one with 5 players and one with 6. Both groups finished Act I before the end of the day! Awesome fun :D

My god. This is the game I wanted Diablo 3 to be. I've been playing every chance I get this past weekend. Can't wait to get a few hours to play again sometime tomorrow.

Yep that is exactly how I feel. This is how I should have felt when playing D3, instead I felt disappointed and annoyed.

I got up at 5AM this morning just to play some TL2 before work :D
