Total War: Rome 2 Pre-Orders

Am looking to pre-order this to get the free Greek nations DLC, but BTGames has it listed for R 600 which is a bit steep for a PC game imo. I see it is a Steam digital purchase though, which explains it, but I'm looking for a physical copy.

Anyone know of any other places to get it from? R 370 by Kalahari, which is reasonable. But probably won't have the DLC. Going to give them a ring just now to find out, but doubt they will be able to tell me.

R600 is sadly not going to be unreasonable for this game if Steam is listing at $59.99. With the Rand being so weak, the R600 is cheaper than Steam.
 
I still haven't decided whether I want to buy this. Every time I get excited for the next Total War game, shell out a giant wad of money for the game + DLC, play it once and then never again. I didn't even touch the two DLC campaigns in Shogun 2.

I think I'm more excited about the setting and mechanics behind each new game than I am about actually playing them.

Wait till December and get it at 33-40% off on their Xmas sale?

Did you find out from Kalahari? I see you can preorder from BT games for the 6th (vs 11th on Kalahari) and they specifically say it includes access to the Greek States DLC for R395

I didn't find out from Kalahari in the end when I noticed the BTGames one you mentioned, which I did pre-order. Game is going to be well worth it

Also, I can pick the game up myself by closest BTGames store, and won't have to pay R 40 odd for posting from Kalahari, so good deal either way.

Decided I couldnt wait any longer and pre-ordered it through BT :P It'll be worth it most definitely :D
 
Okay guys, almost four more day until one of my favorite franchises launches Rome 2 Total War in SA(F*** *** SA Steam Buyers ;) ) and I seriously cannot wait!.

The BIG question, which faction will you choose to play with first?

I feel obliged to play as Rome for the first play through! (Plus they awesome) Then maybe Egypt/Seulucid
 
Only thing I have against the newer total war games is the fact they made modding impossible. So that kinda sucks.

As for who I am going to play prob Carthage
 
Yeah, ideally one shouldn't get the Total War games immediately on release. The last few all had performance and other technical issues at launch. I'd say the Steam christmas sale is a very good time to get it, but even that might be a bit soon.
 
Picking it up on Friday afternoon, locking myself in with plenty of snacks, informed my girlfriend she won't be seeing me and going to make Europe my empire under the might of Rome! Cant be the only one can I?
