Total War: Rome 2 Pre-Orders

Patch 2 came out today! Definitely can see a difference in the End Turn times, and many other smaller fixes and improvements. I think its a combo of finding the right settings and the optimizations, but its running quite a bit better than launch day for me!

Really enjoying it so far! 35hrs in with mostly Campaign as Rome and some online quick battles here and there.

How you guys finding it?

You couldn't wait till the end of the week to say that, I was looking for excuses to hold back on buying this

AJ was correct at during his review by saying that the next TW might be kak and it is kak. So I'm also back to shogun 2... sigh watch the review and then think of rome 2 :mad:

 
I never got fall of the samurai :( Its not the I don't like it but I am bored of the units lol. though lately I have been having some epic battles.
 
Shogun 2 was more polished, I played it quite a bit, but the units got a bit boring for me and I really didnt enjoy the siege gameplay...found it very boring!

The modder apparently did a lot of great work to Shogun II. This mod adds a lot to the game! You can also rather choose certain parts of it (Battle, Ai, Campaign, Graphics, Economy/research) if some feature disagree with you. Think it adds some really nice balancing features and improvements to the game!

I am having a problem with the radious mod. My game keeps on crashing before it starts up :(
 
The game has gotten 10 times better with the new patches. The AI is a lot more clever&fps has improved dramatically. Oh and enemies actually send agents to sabotage your stuff. So it's a lot more fun now.

Luckly I started with patch two. I am busy playing Britannia. But how do you get your wounded generals back? I have no clue.

They will respawn automatically at their respective armies.

The game is still very poorly optimized but playable at least. I say give it a few more patches and it will be fine. But those graphics...meh. Shogun's was a lot better.

Yeah I have to agree with the graphics. Kinda underwhelming. Also the campaign map my god its ugly.
 
Been playing with the Beta 3 patch since it came out! Was enjoying the new optimizations, and then on Saturday, they updated the patch and all of a sudden the AI was a lot more intelligent on the Campaign map and in battle (they even killed my 6 star general in battle-the bastards). But the next battle I fought it crashed...and then a couple more times later, and now it is unplayable.

So I'm putting it on ice for the moment until they get these patches sorted out! But it does give me hope that they going to sort it out properly and it'll become the game we all hope it to be!
 

Here's a great example of how great a tactical game Rome II can be! Give it a watch if you interested in the multiplayer aspect at all
