Touch Typing

I was wondering how long it takes to attain a typing speed of about 100 words per minute. I'm currently stuck at around 45 words per minute and I've been touch typing for about three months practicing everyday for at least 15 minutes with typeracer and Uni assignments
 
I just taught myself to touch type about a month ago. I still make a lot of mistakes but at least I am doing it correctly and I don't have to look at the keyboard anymore. Still slower than I was when using just a few fingers but I know that it's better.
 
Don't stress about it. If you can +- touch type at a reasonable speed then you're ahead of 95% of the people anyway. Unless you're job requires touch typing speed...then you need to naturally stress about it.

Pretty sure OP is talking about an actual PC keyboard.

I suspected that. Must look foolish now, uh :o
 
i work as a secretary in a law firm and i get to about 65 wpm. i have been doing this for almost 9 years now. also at school i was able to do about 40wpm so to get to a 100wpm is gonna take a while if it is at all possible to attain.
