If you have a pool you teach your kid to float in the water, basic pool skills for your lid and actual parenting skills for her.

And have it covered with a proper pool net/cover or fenced in.

Mother was too young. Probably wasn't ready for the kid and maybe the kid was sleeping could be a whole bunch of factors. Maybe someone else was suppose to be watching and just went to the shops are something I am just guessing but still if you not ready to be a mother then don't sleep with anyone best way not to fall pregnant
