Transfer / Link Questions XBOX

I'm sure my game saves are on the cloud (last time I played was in April on my old XBox and I have a gold account)

I'm going to buy a new console, and I don't have access to my old console. Would a transfer/re-download work?

Also, when linking xbox's, do both of us need to OWN a copy of the game we're playing? Or can we just simply play the multiplayer portion with 1 legit copy?

If your saves are on the cloud, in regards to your saves you are fine. (note every game asks you were you want to save before playing so you would have specifically requested this for each game)

The whole point of the cloud is so you can play on other consoles with your saves, so you will be fine. Just login with you xbox live account and the rest should sort itself out for you.

Linking xboxs.... I think you being a little hopefull here, have you ever been able to lan with two PCs and only use one copy? (yes you will need two copies unless you play split screen)
