Transformers: Age of Extinction movie review

165 minutes? :wtf: What is with Michael Bay and his running times?

I reckon we can expect TMNT to clock in at around 3 hours.

its amazing how he manages to reuse scenes from old movies in his new ones and no one even notices... he reused about 5 scenes from transformers 1 into transformers 2.

Also wasn't this the guy who had the breakdown on stage at CES when the teleprompter switched off?

Am I the only one who does not care for the Transformers movies at all? I fell asleep halfway through the first one and didn't even bother watching the others.

Overall I thought Pacific Rim was a much better giant robot movie.

Dont you tease me... I think i might wet myself at the thought of 3 hours of TMNT...

Nope. They need to stop. Seriously.
Didn't care much for Pacific Rim either to be honest.

I couldn't give a dog's shit for these movies, but them (Activision, and Michael Bay and his Bayformers crew) screwing with the Cybertron games has pissed me off to no end

So, when is MyGAMING going to start reviewing cars and holiday destinations? Seems a little off-topic to put a movie review on the front page of a gaming site.

Phrasing is the difference between flaming/flamebaiting and genuine critique... Just my 2 cents.

Anyway, Snark Knight/Batachu (Supes never forgets :p), I'm more curious as to what prompted the review of this particular movie:?

He answered the question in another thread, so I'm cross posting for completeness:

Close, though not quite so random. For one, we have been covering the movie every now and then because, yeah, it's a fan-favourite and loads of gamers dig it. But it also has mostly to do with the fact that I was at the launch of IMAX in Pretoria, which screened the movie two days before it actually released. Why waste the opportunity?

This thread response is a little over-dramatic, but hey, who doesn't like cake.

It's actually pretty normal for gaming sites to also cover movies and sometimes even books. Kotaku, RPS, Polygon and all the other sites occasionally cover this kind of thing. I don't see any reason not to. If you don't want to read a movie review on a gaming site, don't. A movie review isn't taking the place of a gaming-related news article. It appears in addition to other gaming news.

So... Uhm, who is going to point out the obvious :p

No dude I can't stomach them either. Watched half the first one in cinema before falling asleep and haven't bothered to try the others as it just seems like once you've seen one (or half of one) you've seen them all :p. Haven't watched Pacific Rim yet, mostly because of its resemblance to Transformers.
