Do you feed dry food or wet food?
Dry food throughout the day and then some wet food at night around dinner time.
I've been looking at Royal Canin, Dr Hahnz and Eukanuba. Dr Hahnz looks good but not sure about the quality of ingredients.

My wife says that you should look for pet food from makes that are part of the PFI (http://pfisa.co.za/membership/#our-members). I know that we use Royal Canin and that Hills are also good. Besides that I don't know.![]()
At Solitude - ask her about Optimizor, http://www.rclfoods.com/optimizor
I am curious what they say about it. We have started all three our dogs on it thanks to a friend who is involved with the training og K9 anti poaching units, bomb dogs, police dogs. That is the only food they give their working dogs. And it apparently is highly reccomended.
When we still had a dog (from the mybroadband cat thread i have found that the kitty owners there prefer to feed their cats Acana cat food as it has a lot more meat in it and less maize. it is very expensive though and you only get it at certain shops and/or Vets. your normal run of the mill grocery store pet food wont suffice for a kitty that's prone to bladder infections.
my kitties are so full of kak, they refuse to eat proper vet food, preffering whiskas(from when they were rescued). they do like the super expensive fancy feat wet cat food and of course the purina pouches....Many thanks. I'll do some more research but its a tough one. I'm trying to avoid Hills because of some mixed responses in general from cat owners because of the by-products.
I'd love to get them some Acana but that's almost R500 for 2.2kg. Going to flip a coin to decide between Royal Canin and Dr Hahnz

Same here with our bunch, they do not want, duck, chicken, fish or turkey. Just mince only, so hard finding a pack that is just mince.
Also the eldest has learned that if he lets his brother finish his food he can make the wife feel bad and open a tin of Fancy Feast.
