Truth behind Aliens: Colonial Marines development

I was a huge fan of AVP2, haven't really enjoyed any of the subsequent games I'm afraid :( That game was as scary as Fear :O

Why do people find F.E.A.R. scary? It had its moments, but I still believe that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. was properly scary.
It's all a matter of opinion I guess.

What saddens me is that we will probably never know the full truth behind this game's development because Randy is too cowardly to come out and apologize.

Agreed. FEAR had a few OMGWTF moments, but I never really felt like I was in any danger so I can't say the game was scary. STALKER, on the other hand, is a game in which I felt like I was constantly in danger, because I actually was. Even something like a wild boar could spell death if it caught you unawares.

yet another utterly brilliant IP gets shafted in game form.

I found FEAR to be quite freaky, long sections of empty office cubicles and psychological torment. I remember being so releaved whenever i came across a squad of soldiers to fight.Like 'ah sweet Im not alone anymore!'

Especially going into those underground labs. Playing with headphones; every crack, squeak, drop or any other sort of noise freak(ed/s) me out. Then you hear a random mutated monster growl. You don't know if it's ambient noise, or if something is genuinely there.
