Turn your XBOX into the ultimate MEDIA MACHINE?

Has anyone got a great howto to turn your XBOX into the ultimate MEDIA MACHINE

I got windows 7 with media center linked

I need the xbox to play multiple codecs (video and audio) divx etc

Also i have a problem, got a Terabyte NAS box that requires authentication
not sure how to add a username and password for network authentication
cause all my files are stored on the shared drive which windows 7 finds great and adds to the library of stuff, but my xbox can't add those files to the library

Any help would be appreciated.

The other options is to use Vuze. It actually work really well. Even if you haven't downloaded something as a torrent, you can load your media into Vuze and it picks up and streams to your xbox. It isn't the perfect solution, because it requires your PC and Xbox to be linked all the time that you are using it, but it's a VERY easy way to use your Xbox as a media player.

Go check under your video library on the dashboard (not in MC).

my media centre on windows 7 doesnt seem to pick up my xbox though
but i managed to get the xbox linked to my macbook wirelessly
kinda cool that i can stream everything wirelessly...made me so lazy on sunday mornings
