Hi all. I've been given a Turtle Beach XP500 headset. Yay for me! Only catch is that it's missing the power cable so I have to find a replacement before I can use it. It's a USB to little round power plug so I guess 5V, 0.5A. Here's the official part. http://www.turtlebeach.com/product-detail/cables-parts/usb-to-dc-5v-transmitter-power-cable/83

Anyone know where I could get something like that?

For the USB to 5v DC you could try: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Turtle-Be...meAccessories_JN&hash=item4d0b66c4c4#shpCntId It's E-bay UK and they seem to ship to SA. Otherwise perhaps try Ellies? Hi-Fi Corp? A specialist electronics store should sell something like that.

If the 5v DC is simply for charging just pick a standard 12v to 5v inverter and use that.

As for the XB360 to R-L audio via RCA I am not too sure anymore, a lot of those things simply went off the market after the newer Xbox models came out. You could maybe try looking for a HDMI > RCA/Toslink (takealot sells them) but I think those are about R700~ last I checked. Provided your model has HDMI out.

Thanks man, the cable is the main issue at the moment. It's the power cable for the transmitter so I can't use the thing at all until I find one. I found a cable on amazon.com but they don't ship here. I've mailed Zaps, Turtle Beach and HaveToHave so I'll see what they all come back with, then move on to EBay.

More success, someone from http://www.customcables.co.za/ says they can make me a cable for about R80. I just have to figure out what size the plug is

EDIT: Checking with Cable Link because I would much rather go to Randburg than Benoni

Even more success! The guy who gave it to me just found the original cable and an optical adapter for me, so it doesn't look like I need to mission with getting new stuff after all. Just need to get it sent up from Durban.
