TV Choices

Hi All

I'm in the market for a new HD TV, primary use is PS3, options at this time are:
Sammy 40D550 LCD 50Hz (most likely candidate due to cost) *R4700
Sammy 32D5000 LED 100Hz TruMotion (Marketing speak, fake 100Hz as I understand it) *R6000
Sammy 40D6000 LED 3D (my bank manager won't be impressed) *R8000
Toshiba 46SL733 LED 100Hz (pretty sweet deal, but is it worth it) *R9000

From the opinion of seasoned gamers, does anyone have experience with these models.

What I'd really like to know is:
How important is size in the long run i.e. is a 32" LED a better buy then a 40" LCD
What is the quality of Toshiba's TVs like
Do you really notice the 100Hz after the 1st month?

Thanks all

*SORRY

Can you maybe add the prices?

Imo I prefer Sony TVs over the rest, after that is Samsung (better priced). I have seen the Toshibas in actions and they really are not bad. But i'm a Sony fanboi :)

Looking at the diff between 32 and 40.... the real question is how big is the area you sitting in, are you going to use it as TV as well or only for the PS3, I would prefer the 40" due to the fact that you can chill on a coach without squinting...

I've got the Samsung 40C550 LCD and have not looked back. Brilliant screen and works well with streaming files off my pc.

Know this is probably a bit late, but I got a Samsung 32" LCD about a month ago to use as primary monitor for my PC and I'm extremely impressed. I am now officially a Samsung fan.

Long winded discussion here

We need to know how lighting is in your room, size of your room, sitting distance from tv. AFAIK for gaming and sport it's better to get true 100/120 hz led if you arn't going plasma. Plasma is great if you don't have a bright room where as led is better.
