Its actualy sad, they made a movie about the first book. That failed, now they are making a tv series about it. Will be interesting to see if they can pull it off

Giving Black Sails a go. I'm on Ep3 and not sure if I like it enough to continue. I love the setting but it feels like the story is a bit weak so far.

I need to find something sci-fi'ish to fill the gap between episodes of The Expanse.

I dropped it after ep 2. besides the story, seeing all those locals kinda took me out of it a bit. made it feel.... cheap

Black Sails was/is filmed in and around Cape Town which may explain the (subconscious) love for the setting. I agree that the story is a bit weak, but it does get a little better if you stick with it. Season 2 is much stronger than S1, imo.

Where/how are you watching The Expanse? Heard good things about it and want to catch it, but can't find it anywhere. Am I going to have to use my month-end leftover bandwidth and play pirate? Arrr!

For filler sci-fi'ish, if you haven't yet, check out Black Mirror. I found it on Netflix. Near-future stuff focusing on our obsession with media and the screens (the black mirrors of the title) that dominate our lives. Strongly recommended by yours truly. :)

I'll give it another episode or two to decide if I'll continue watching. Well... I think you will need to use some bandwidth to watch The Expanse. Like i mentioned earlier in the thread it doesn't seem to be everyone's cup of tea. It does remind me of Nexus - The Jupiter Incident a bit.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll look it up tonight and give it a go. Sounds like Humans, which i enjoyed.

Anyone else watching Grimm? The Mrs really enjoys it, we just got up to date with season 5, and the last episode we watched had a HECTIC twist at the end "whistling:
