#1 scripted specialty drama episode this year
TORONTO, May 28, 2012 – The numbers are in and the future looks bright for Continuum. The wildly anticipated debut of the Showcase original series smashed the competition, reaching 1.7 million* Canadians throughout its two airings on Sunday night. The premiere episode garnered a viewership** of 900,000 (2+) and 427,000 (A25-54) in its 9 pm timeslot, becoming the highest single episode ever on Showcase.
The massive premiere was the highest ranked show of the night across all of Canadian commercial television for Adults 25-54, Men 25-54, and Adults 18-49. With this record, Continuum claims the top spot as the #1 scripted specialty drama episode for this broadcast year across multiple demos.
Continuum is a futuristic police drama starring Rachel Nichols (Criminal Minds, Alias) as Kiera Cameron, a cop from the future who finds herself trapped in present day Vancouver. When a group of fanatical terrorists escapes their planned execution in the year 2077, they vault back in time to 2012 sweeping dedicated City Protective Services officer, Kiera, along with them. With unexpected assistance from teen tech genius Alec Sadler (Erik Knudsen; Jericho, Scream 4) Kiera concentrates on bringing down the terrorists before they can change the course of history forever. Desperate to get back to her husband and son, Kiera impersonates a local law enforcement officer to expedite her investigation, forming an uneasy alliance with her new partner, detective Carlos Fonnegra (Victor Webster; Castle, Melrose Place).

At the moment I'm mainly watching Battlestar Galactica season 3, but also The Killing season 2, True Blood season 5, Smash season 1. Then I need to get back to finishing off the latest seasons of Glee and Modern Family :)

Can anyone recommend any other good sci-fi series besides Battlestar Galactica and Caprica (which I really enjoyed :D)?
 
started watching Dallas (never watched the original series as i was still a little one in those days but i must say its pretty good.

SG1 was the best, but apparently SG Universe is quite good as well

I really enjoy Eureka.
Alphas isn't too bad either.
some older, already finished shows (if you haven't seen them) that is worth a watch that I liked is The 4400 and Kyle XY
 
MalicE If you enjoyed Eureka then get Warehouse 13 - similar with a load of their characters crossing over. Loved it.

yea I got season one on my laptop, watch the first 5 eps I think long ago, when it started, but for some reason I just don't get around to finishing it. think I should put some effort in this weekend, but it'll be tough with all my other shows that started again ^_^

I wasn't the biggest fan of season 1, but during the last 2/3 episodes it started getting good. Which reminds me...I need to get season 2!

I really enjoyed Eureka as well, hmm thought I was the only one actually. Pretty bummed it was cancelled. But I must remember warehouse 13 then, busy getting The Pacific so might check that out afterwards
 
I prefer just SG1, rest imho is too much darwson's-creek-glitter-my-edward.

Also enjoying continuum... hehe still going strong with that one :D

yeah, it's a shame, but atleast they're finishing it, and the last two eps looks like it's going to be shocking ^_^
