just start at the first episode, you'll like it...but i'm thinking if you just watch random episodes you don't get into the story and then you wont like it...i guess thats why i didn't/dont like LOST

Just started with Community. Quality comedy entertainment that be! It's got the bland, jokes that make ou giggle, but it really shines by having more subtle humor that really makes you chuckle if you watch closely. Unlike so many shows nowadays, you actualy have to sit and pay attention to get the best out of it.

Pretty much the same reason most sci-fi shows do. It's a pretty niche market, not many people really watch that type of sci-fi other than us hardcore geeks.

I would think that with technology advancing at such a rapid pace, and gizmos (smartphones, tabs) now being as common as sand, we'd start to see a bigger SciFi fanbase.

Yeeeaaahhhh... Did you ever see what they did with Stargate Universe and Caprica? "Bigger fanbase" = "Emo sparkly assed vampires with lasers"
