The story is written to include all parts of life and not hide some of them. I get where you are coming from... But it is about the era and setting the scene and characters.

If it was all rosy then when someone's head is removed or something you would find that to be out of the mood of the whole series. As it stands, the parts have made the characters much more deep and i think that makes it important.

I don't think it has gone to the side of tasteless yet. If it has for you, then the whole tv series is probably not for you.

I find it tasteless in many cases. When it comes to men though, how often do you see a man completely naked. Would you guys like to watch that? Would it not bother you then. A woman's body is something that should not be cheapened by shows like that. And by men who don't have any respect.

I don't enjoy those scenes (as a guy) but i realise that it is part of the show.... Showing the worst parts of the era, even if it is highlighted and fictional... But not showing them would not portray the story nearly as well.

Imagine only seeing then walk through a doorway and then it cuts to another scene. You would not get the full sense of the story, of the manipulation... The vile nature of certain characters. The story would be left lacking and impotent.

It is the nature of this kind of story.... It is not meant to make you feel good about things that occur in the program.

It all comes down to what you consider appropriate. If you find such a thing distasteful, then don't go against that belief and go against it. It is quite a subjective thing and is processed by your subconscious in a certain way.

I see those parts as a part of the show... They're not showing the scenes so that we somehow feel good about guys degrading women but rather to highlight the horridness of it in my opinion. But in yours it could be the the complete opposite.

I am not saying that all nude scenes on all videos are acceptable. I am only defending this genre (spartacus, got, etc)

I would have to wonder how girl with a dragon tattoo would be without the scenes it contained, because of someone like Achtung!Baby decided on the script it surely would have been quite different.
