Is it better I wonder on PC or console? I am also interested in this title, regardless of reviews.
I played it when it launched in europe, it's a solid game. If you want an Oblivion-ish fantasy RPG with open zones to explore and a "do what you want" feeling to it, this is pretty much it.
As for console vs PC , i played it on PC and the UI was clearly designed for console [everything is oversized like you're sitting far from the screen] , so i'd say it should play quite well on console. It didn't play bad on PC, i'd say graphics is probably the best on PC, but the interface is definitely designed for a controller.
Anyway there's about 3 RPGs on the market at the moment , that are being marketed , Divinity II , Gothic 4 and Two Worlds II .
Divinity II is probably the best value for money, as it is an absolutely huge game [very long] and there is that whole "turn into a dragon and fight in the air" thing. That is assuming you don't get bored long before finishing it.
Two Worlds II is actually not very long (compared to Oblivion/Fallout) . It's a 40-50 hour type of game, despite it feeling like Oblivion. It does however have better graphics and more immersive world than Divinity II. I also liked the plot more. While divinity 2 is pretty standard RPG , TW2 at least got some interesting stuff [the magic system is definitely very unique and fun] .
Gothic 4: Arcania is nothing like the first 3 games in the series, it's linear, it's an action game now. There is fun, but if you expected another Gothic game, it is a disappointment.
