Ubisoft trying to fix broken Assassin’s Creed Unity

Ubisoft told you they can't make women avatars/npc.

Summary of the game.
AC Unity is true next-gen. In fact, it is SO next-gen that it isn't even finished yet! I like to be on the cutting edge and I appreciate that Ubisoft is making games that it is still making, even weeks after you've beaten them.

I also love the forced integration with an app as well as a website. How that works is that you sign in with your uplay account to experience so many error messages that last gen could never display on screen at one time.

The game itself (no spoilers) centers around Arno, an Assasin in search of locked chests that require a cell phone game with micro transactions to open. You level him up by "hacking" into your bank account to drain real money at 60 FPS. The rest of the game runs at a solid 12 FPS which is TWICE as cinematic as a movie... No small feat! Once you've completed "playing" a website on your computer, Arno is finally ready to fall through the ground and enter a white abyss... The core challenge of the game, these moments where you simply fall into the sky that accurately existed under 1700's Paris, are some of the most nail-biting moments in any game ever made... Will the game crash? Will you have to hard reset your console? Results are random, so it will always be a surprise!

Many people just won't "get" this evolution of Assassin's Creed and should spend their time opening up a history book instead. It is there they could read up on Paris' floating people and long battle with pop-in. Even today, many Parisians only exist after you've already walked past them. It is these small details that Ubisoft has nailed and they deserve applause with tons of random audio pops just as you'd hear in the game's cinematics.

After playing this gem, I've decided to fly to Montreal tomorrow to begin playing 2018's Assassin's Creed 9. Unity's only shortcoming was that it was a little TOO finished, so I am hoping the Ubisoft guys will let me plug my controller into a broken vending machine in their studio that simply eats dollars that I put into it without delivering

all i can say is. Another ubisoft game broken. It's nothing new to ubicrap. This is one reason why I'm not buying Far cry 4. Doesn't matter if I have 1-4 Ncidia cards. The game will be a mess. i will never buy any game ever again untill I know it's smooth and so on. I bought COD:AW and can't even get online and have massive cpu usage on my 4790K so yeah I will never buy call of duty ever again or at least not one made by infinityward or sledgehammer. Black ops 2 ran like a dream on my pc @ 2560x1440@96hz. Then it's the 91 FPS cap and I don't know yet but I'm sure ubisoft limited the game to 60hz but correct me if I'm wrong.

Then developers using the lame excuse about the engine might run super fast when running anything above 60hz. Oh and another company is bethesda. I must say at least BF4 was running okish beside the crashes i enjoyed BF4 from the start. They support higher refresh rate, sort of propper crossfire/SLi on start. Watchpoop still runs like crap and all you do is press q the whole time.

Hope you all get the point

piece

OOMJAN out

This is what happens when you try to play games over 30FPS. Don't say Ubisoft didn't warn you.

It started with Watch Dogs, there is no stopping the fail train.

And... If sales of their games continue, they'll simply continue the trend - thus, continuous poor developing and porting as nothing appears to stop consumers from buying their products - aside from reviews and previews posted by gamers and critics alike.

*used continue too many times*

Well there's a internal joke around NeoGaf and reddit "The worst AC yet, but the best selling".

If a mass-boycott were to happen, Ubisoft would have to step up their game, but as things are looking now... that won't be happening any time soon.

Sadly, dating as far back as Splinter Cell: Conviction; its PC port ran horrendously on my old rig (I barely maintain a good and solid performance on my current rig).

Isn't that essentially where their crappy ports began?

This is the absolute least they could do Ubisoft need to dial back the amount of asscreeds they pump out the games need a longer dev cycle.

My formula for playing AC seems to work pretty well. I'm only now playing AC4. Only played AC3 after AC4 was launched. So given the year gap, the game seems to be finished from what I can tell. So give this game about a year and pick it up on Steam specials where you'll get the full game at a fraction of the cost. Win-win. :D

no no the game runs at 12 FPS for a more cinematic experience.

That made a little pee come out... hehehehe

But on a more serious note:
Ass's Creed 2 must have been one of the best and most satisfying games I've ever played... And I think the rest of the gaming world kinda agreed with me.
What made AC2 SO MUCH BETTER than the original? I'm sure we all have our different opinions, but I think it had something to do with the way the storyline flowed better and you could CHOOSE to make the game as long or as short as you like by running around and doing side missions.

Am I the only one who thinks the way gaming houses make sequels is daft?
Brotherhood was a awesome, coz it seemed all they did was make AC2 a little longer with bolt on buddies and online play... but the trend is to take a successful game and the only thing that needs to happen is to make the sequel MORE COMPLICATED.

The Revelations... eish... Battle mode? Hookie thingies? In game economics? A super-pensioner? Coma mode on?

In AC3... time travel was not only possible but it was an everyday thing. You participate in the Battle of Chesapeake after you've murder-punched the English out of New York... which I can forgive. But I liberated a fort BEFORE the revolution, and when I teepee'd (see what I did there?) AFTER the revolution, the English and Patriots spawned instantaneously from 2 meters above the ground and they seemed to all be united in their singular cause of trying to kill the poor innocent Connor who has single-handedly slaughtered thousands of red-coats and even more animals.
What was up with the hunting? I like hunting... but that was a little arb. The crafting? The trading? again... why add these extra complexities?
Then there was the boat... OH LOOK! fans enjoyed driving a boat!
LET'S MAKE A WHOLE GAME OF THAT SH1T!!!!

A deck hand, who kills an uber-high-ranked albeit treacherous assassin with only his beard as a weapon, becomes a pirate, then an assassin, then a pirate leader, then you single-handedly pirate the whole of the Caribbean... you swim A LOT. You got some Guybrush in you because you can hold your breath for 10 minutes... Oh, Ismael and Ahab can rest easy... cozy you stab Moby Dick and his other albino mates like it's your JOB!

Guide to making a sequel:
Concentrate less on adding layers of complexities and stupid mini-games... Concentrate on STORYLINE!

What's next?
Assassin's Creed Apartheid?

Aparantly if you play the game offline the performance is better this is on Ps4 but take it with a grain of salt as I have not tested it myself.
