Ubisoft's Uplay DRM installs rootkit, leaves PCs vulnerable

Well, I'm not sure. It shares the properties of a rootkit, but the intention behind it clearly wasn't malice. More like just plain negligence.

Not sure how 'thinking about always online' = rootkit.

I suggest try deduction:

Ubisoft + always on = always on drm

ubisoft with always on drm + flaw = root kit

Epic games + always on = always on drm

epic with always on + flaw = ???

Lets revist:
We are going to see a EpicGames root kit soon then
Totally confusing, makes no sense. lol.

Strange how the DRM is supposed to affect people copying the games illegally, who actually couldn't give 2 shits because it doesn't affect them. Meanwhile, the people who actually pay the salaries at Ubisoft (i.e the paying customer) get saddled with this kak.

People always wonder why I include Ubisoft in my list of game developers I don't like - this is the primary reason for this development house.
