Same here, however alien probing and temporary abductions are bull in my opinion. You spend a 1000 years to cross the galaxy and then you steal a person and then keep him neat so you can hand him back, I'd get over handing him back.
However the aliens did help the ancients with pyramids etc.

I mean Im a practical person a very avid geek , I am not so proud or foolish to think in the vastness that is the universe
there is no other life , but these stupid UFO theories and stories just reminds me of how vain mankind really is
where we try to explain away everything without using logic .
I blame the fact as a species to few of us want to learn anymore , or are inquisitive enough to search .Instead we find some crackpots idea that most clearly resembles what we thought it would be and latch on to that.
We don't acquire knowledge anymore ,we assume the summarized version is correct and with that make connections to things that simply aren't there it's the reason these lunatics sway so many people.

I have personally instilled in my kids a need to question everything and to know the answer for themselves makes for great family science time and I know that they won't be sheep.

Of course they are real. They made a while series of movies about aliens. Also Alien v Predator, Star Trek, Star Wars and Prometheus. And my favourite of all time, in gaming, Starcraft 2.
 
What a crock of shit. Not surprising seeing as this buffoon also believes the Illuminati are tugging the strings of governments worldwide. Conspiracy theorist nutjob who shouldn't be in government in the first place.

I'm also not surprised to see that the same forum members who claim psychics are real, that modern priests speak in tongues as an alternative to google translate and similar kooky beliefs are taking this nutjob's unsubstantiated claims as proof of the existence of extra-terrestrials that have visited earth.

Don't take this the wrong way, but whenever I encounter people who actually believe the bullshit being spewed by people like the canadian minister of defence, I always wonder if it's just that they're incredibly gullible or whether their lives are simply so boring that they go looking for excitement in the form of kooky conspiracy theories.

Although we also do it with animals like sharks etc. by abducting them and putting trackers on them so we can study them so wouldnt be surprised if they did it

I think if there can be animals in the air, underground and the depths of the oceans, surely there can be "animals" in outer space on other planets? I'm not saying they're hyper intelligent or anything but I think aliens exist in that sense.

Just thinking about earths supposed twin, Keppler 22B, blows my mind. What could possibly be living there?

Indeed. I'm very open to the possibility of extra-terrestrial life. I just think all the rumour-mongering and conspiracy theories being taken as factual evidence that they visited earth is way over the top. I mean sure, it's not impossible, but believing that it has happened simply because a canadian government official made a bunch of unsubstantiated claims is pretty dumb.
 
I'm all for aliens and the evil illuminati because the alternative is pretty boring - we're all alone in the universe and we're evidently pretty crap at running our own planet.
