How is it legal? The Ukraine is sovereign and has every right to overthrow it's government, it's a Ukrainian affair. And Russians in Ukraine are not in danger in anyway, so there's no need to protect anyone, by him taking the Crimean Peninsular he's causing more harm to Russian citizens than if he left it alone.
The West was ready to recognize Ukraine's new sovereignty, Russia went and fucked it up, their puppet is no longer in power.
Russia has been flying propaganda about Russian families being persecuted in Finland and that they need to intervene. They've been buying land all around Finnish military bases over the past few years, watch Russia pull the same stunt it's doing now with Ukraine and Georgia before it.
I'd like to know this as well.
It is legal because the government was elected legally. But all of it is an excuse to send troops and show Russia's strong arm.
