Naughty Dog's next chapter in the Uncharted series is titled Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, and it will be releasing in 2015.

Sony closed its E3 Press Conference with a short teaser showed Drake waking up battered and bruised on a riverbank before slowly trekking off into the jungle.

Sony teased the next Uncharted game on the eve of PlayStation 4’s launch, so it seemed like Nathan Drake’s next adventure was coming along swimmingly at developer Naughty Dog. But behind the scenes, there have been some major shakeups for Uncharted 4, with writer Amy Hennig departing Naughty Dog unexpectedly earlier this year. Game director Justin Richmond followed shortly after. Naughty Dog now has The Last of Us directors Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley heading up Nathan Drake’s next journey.

Bit disappointed we got to see no gameplay, but excited nonetheless. Most likely a pre-rendered cutscene as all of Uncharted's cutscenes are usually of a high pre-rendered quality :p. But in-game graphics usually come very close.

From what I read, that wasn't pre-rendered CG, but ingame engine footage.

The trailer just says it was captured directly from a PS4 console. So that could simply mean the 'pre-rendered' cutscene was simply recorded while it played on the console. I love Naughty Dog and in no way would I be surprised if these are actual in-game graphics, I'm just struggling to believe it at this point. It looks so freakin' good.

I can well believe that they can make something look that good on a PS4. Just look what they did with the previous entries of the series on the old console.

I have doubts about this game. The developer has lost 2 of its major players in the last year. I believe the project lead on this is someone brand new as well that was not involved with the first 3 games. I don't believe a pre-order on this game is a wise choice at all.

Someone brand new to the Uncharted franchise yes, but not brand new to Naughty Dog. The Last of Us developers Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley are in charge of UC4, following the departures of Justin Richmond and Amy Hennig earlier this year. So I think it's in very good hands ;).

I'm pumped for it. Don't have a PS4 yet, but if I had one, this would be something I would buy. Uncharted is pretty set in it's ways and the two people taking over (with members of the original team) will probably do a good job. This isn't new IP, so I have a pretty good idea of what to expect from it.

Good point, sir!
