Uncharted 4: A Thief's End has been delayed until "Spring 2016" according to directors Bruce Straley and Neil Druckmann.

In a post on the PS Blog, the two directors stated that "this game is much more ambitious than we originally envisioned".

nitially slated for release this year, Naughty Dog has pushed the date so that "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End not only meets the team's high standards but the high standards that gamers have come to expect from a Naughty Dog title."

Naughty Dog confirmed earlier this year that Uncharted 4 will have a multiplayer mode.

Disappointing, but they've never delayed a game before so it must be very necessary. The second half of 2015 is looking pretty bare bones on AAA releases. Hopefully E3 changes that.

Well I would rather have them delay it and actually have a finished/polished game, knowing Naughty Dog, this will be the case. Also they never really announced a date, just saying some time in 2015, which is quite ambiguous.

even with delaYS these days games still end up receiving a ton of patches and updates thats a few gigs afterwards.

I legitimately cannot remember a AAA IP in recent years that wasn't delayed in some form. Although I think the shift in ideology towards having a more complete product is good; I think the gaming community will have to change our expectations of releases in order to make this arrangement work better overall.
