Underrated Games

I have often found reviews and general exposure to some games might be low, and then I would play the game and the game I feel is actually much better than what it was made out to be / the hype around it.

One such game is The Movies: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Movies

This is a game which hasn't had much exposure, but I feel deserved a lot more.

I can think of so many underrated/under appreciated games that I own and love: Condemned 2, Dead to Rights: Retribution, Shadows of the Damned, WET, Dark Sector, Enslaved, Splatterhouse, Binary Domain, Bionic Commando, etc.

There are two games that come to mind when I think of underrated and under-appreciated:

1) Enslaved: Odyssey to the West

There were several mechanics that didn't work well in the game, but overall it truly was a game on Uncharted's quality level.

2) Vanquish

Quite possibly the best 3rd person action-shooter I'll ever play. Talk about an adrenaline rush! This is a game I really hope receives a sequel!

Oh yes also Little Big Adventure 1 and 2.

I don't know why these games weren't more popular they are the best games I have ever played.

At the top of this list is Enslaved: Odyssey to the West. It is such a good game, pity that it sold so few units.
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines was also an awesome game.
I finished WET a few months ago, pleasantly surprised by it. Awesome and addictive gameplay and some awesome action sequences keeps you playing.

The Anno series of games are popular, but I feel that they could be mentioned a bit more.

FEAR 3.
I know it wasn't like the first 2, but looking at it as a single game, it holds up as a solid, atmospheric FPS.

I would have to say XIII

Was an awesome game, awesome voice cast and an ending that demands a sequel... But that never happened :(
