Uninstalling and installing games

I am trying to install Sims 3 Generation on my girlfriends laptop and during the installation the laptop switched off due to low battery life. Once I started the laptop up again the set keeps asking me to uninstall the game when nothing is there. I have gone to Add and remove programs the game is there but sends you through the same pointless uninstall process that does not remove the game. I have checked the registry and there is nothing there beside the original sims 3 game. I have run Glary Utilities a couple times with no success. Is there any way of installing this game so I can have some peace and quiet!?!?

Go download "Revo Uninstaller" and "CCleaner"

Best programs to have :)

I have downloaded Revo Uninstaller and it didn't even pick up I had the game installed. Yet it wont install and its still there in the add and remove programs...

DL CCleaner now.. see if that works...

Delete it out of the registry and delete the files themselves, it should clean your Remove Programs directory. :)

Did you check the temp folders, cause sometimes it saves a temp file in there, so you have to delete them before it will work

With regedit did you try using search function when searching for files?

With the Image mounted Revo Uninstaller gave me the option to Uninstall the game. It checked for left over file and the registries and came back that there was no leftovers. I am trying the setup now and it seems to be working. Thanks everyone for your comments and feedback.:D
