This looks amazing! From devs who worked on Dead Space and BioShock.

Crafted by a team of veteran PC and console developers (BioShock, BioShock Infinite, Dead Space), Perception offers a bold and fresh take on first person narrative games.

  • "See" using echolocation. Every sound creates a visual.
  • Engage in a deadly game of hide and seek with relentless enemies, including The Presence.
  • Trigger radical change at the Estate at Echo Bluff each time you solve its mysteries.
  • Travel back through history to exorcise your own nightmares.

They aiming for a measly (game dev wise) $150000, I hope they get.

Shot dude, looks awesome. Some really great stuff coming from the Unreal 4 engine.

yeah, that game engine is awesome looking. Really want to get into doing something with it. Did some very, very minor level building in Quake 1 to 3.

Has anyone ever backed something with physical rewards? If so, any trouble in getting it shipped here? I guess the costs depend on the kickstarter campaigner. I'm itching to go higher with my backing.

The shipping cost is very prohibitive. As an example my friend and I both ordered the same board game at the same backing level. For me to ship to Australia costs $27. For him to ship to SA it costs $57.

Yep, but you won't have to wait 2 years, you can increase your backing with an amount now, and then usually they will tell you what shipment will cost a few months later and you can then pay the difference.

yeah, ok, wanted to increase my backing end of the month, was just a bit worried about paying a $55 shipping fee in 2 years time when the rand might be higher....

Anyway, I'm happy with just the game. Might go for the digital novels.

I added the novellas to mine :)

Damn you! (In the nicest possible way of course:)) Here I am trying desperately to save my shekels for the end of the year. And there's you pointing me to a game the uses words like Space, Rogue-like, Freelancer, Non-Linear Storytelling, Ever-changing, Space shooter and did I mention Freelancer?! in its pitch description.

Resistance was futile from the start. I'm in at Space Cat level. May go up to Space Dog to get beta access once I see what progress they make. Thanks for the heads up. Me likey.
